Explorations
I am not an archeology student, but I do love to poke around the Middle East and stick my nose into ancient ruins.
From time to time I come across the items pictured here. To my (admittedly) untrained eye, they appear to be ancient glory holes, no? This leads me to the following conclusions: (a) ancient Middle Eastern men were much better hung than their descendents today, and (b) ancient cocks came in a wider variety of shapes ans sizes than we see in modern times (how else to account for existence of round and square holes?).
It’s reasonable to assume that the ancients stuck a high value on their fleshy members, what with carving their glory holes from stone to avoid splinters (i.e., the modern door glory hole). It can also be assumed that ancient men enjoyed quick oral breaks during harvest season, as these glory hole set-ups often appear in reconstructed agricultural settings alongside other tools.
